⚔️ “Valkyrie Sequel: The Kuleshov Effect” Continues the Story on the Same Wall — By Alex Kanos / Ikanografik in Vernier, Geneva, Switzerland 🇨🇭

“Valkyrie Sequel: The Kuleshov Effect” replaces Kanos’s earlier Valkyrie on the same wall. The cyberpunk heroine now faces a weathered antagonist, while her robot sidekick and a post-apocalyptic vehicle appear below.

💡 Nerd Fact: The Kuleshov effect describes how viewers read different emotions and mental states into the same face when it is paired with different contextual scenes. A 2006 fMRI experiment reproduced the effect using identical faces presented in positive, negative and neutral contexts.

Kanos painted it with support from Walls Street GVA and House of Paint at the House of Paint Vol. 4 site, 106 B Route de Vernier in Châtelaine.

🚐 Loki Covers a Van — By Nauni69 & Xemayo in Algorta, Getxo, Spain 🇪🇸

A close-up portrait of Loki crosses the side and rear doors of the van. Loose neon marks surround the Norse-inspired figure, while the windows, hinges and body panels remain visible through the painting.

According to Nauni69, the vehicle belongs to Unai. It was painted for the seventh edition of Algorta Graff during the 2026 San Ignacio festivities; the painted vans later toured Algorta in an evening parade.

🌀 Letters Spiral Toward the Center — By Mari Monteiro in Paimpol, France 🇫🇷

Bands of turquoise, white and slate-blue calligraffiti curl inward across the wall. Monteiro combines calligraphy, gesture and abstraction through repeated hand-painted marks.

🧡 “Andromeda” in Chrome and Neon — By The Color Wizard in Winthrop, Maine, USA 🇺🇸

The figure is titled Andromeda. Inspired by TRON, science fiction and fantasy art, the 8-by-20-foot mural was painted entirely with Kobra spray paint to create its chrome and neon effects.

💡 Film-Tech Fact: The glowing actors in the original TRON were created through backlit animation rather than CGI. They were filmed in black and white; each frame was enlarged onto Kodaliths and then rephotographed with backlighting and color filters.

The mural was painted over three days for the first Art Park Festival at Homegrown Acres on Lakeside Farm Road in Winthrop.

🥽 An Orange Visor Reflects the City — By Plinio Cristovive in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷

A futuristic portrait fills the wall in hot pink, yellow and violet. Buildings and lights are reflected in the oversized orange visor.

In his post about the work, Plinio points to antennas, satellites, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, radio waves and social media, reflecting on how much of today’s communication is invisible.

🧜 A Mermaid Faces a Sharp-Toothed Sea Creature — By Cerouno in Montañita, Ecuador 🇪🇨

A pale-haired mermaid faces a sharp-toothed sea creature, surrounded by fish and waves. In Cerouno’s post about the mural, he connects the mermaid to mythological stories he heard as a child and says that seeing the sea and whales fulfilled one of his dreams.

He painted it during Strokes Together: Marea Viva, a marine-conservation edition held in Montañita from 18 to 21 August 2026.

📖 A Child and an Older Man Read Together — By BKFoxx in Mulberry, Indiana, USA 🇺🇸

A child rests against an older man as they read together on a sofa. Painted shelves, a record player and small paper birds fill the rest of the facade.

The mural covers the east wall of the Sanford and Daughter Building at 140 E Jackson Street. Local coverage of the dedication describes it as Mulberry’s first piece of public art. It was created through The Arts Federation’s Wabash Walls program with the Mulberry Community Club.

🐲 A Red Portrait Faces Blue Fantasy Creatures — By Zarkoner & Wildsowet in Wageningen, Netherlands 🇳🇱

✒️ A Machine-Like Creature Balances Beneath a Heart — By Nubian at Montpellier-Haus in Heidelberg, Germany 🇩🇪

Montpellier artist Roch Marcorelles, known as Nubian, painted the machine-like creature in fine black lines, with four curled supports and a small heart floating above it.

The finished work was made with Metropolink and Montpellier-Haus ahead of the house’s 40th anniversary. It covers an interior facade in the publicly accessible passage at Kettengasse 19, in Heidelberg’s old town.

🎸 “The Space Between Acts” Shows a Musician on a Break — By Liam Bononi in Manchester, UK 🇬🇧

A musician sits in public with his acoustic guitar and scrolls through his phone while waiting for his partner to return. Bononi describes the scene as a five-minute break between acts. There is no backstage or curtain, just a pause in full view.

Bononi completed it in August 2026 on the rear of the Little Pit Street car-park office at 75 Port Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The Berry arranged access, Spray Days supported the project, and Shann in Wonderland assisted.

🌊 Three Generations of Breton Women Fill the Wall — By Mite, Le Flip, Pitotherapy, Wuna, Wens & Hest in Paimpol, France 🇫🇷

Three generations of Breton women in tall lace coifs appear alongside the Breton flag, a lighthouse, fishing boats and interlocking graffiti. “PAIMPOL” runs across the central figure’s fingers.

💡 Textile Fact: Much of what became known as “Breton lace” was technically embroidery on machine-made tulle rather than lace made without a textile support. The tulle’s transparency, lightness and ability to hold starch allowed coifs to be shaped into complex structures.

🐾 “Monochrome Lynx” Bares Its Teeth Beneath the Bridge — By Punta One in Bollnäs, Sweden 🇸🇪

A huge pale lynx bares its teeth across a concrete support. Blue-gray fur and diagonal bands run up the tall structure, with the artist standing at its base for scale.

In his official post, Punta One gives the size as 8 by 4 metres. It was painted beneath the Bollnäs viaduct for Hälsingewall, held 21–23 August 2026 and organized by Bollnäs Municipality, with Amanda Alm of Ocken as project lead.

🟢 A Green Ribbon Circles the Fox — By Pieksa in Kraków, Poland 🇵🇱

A grayscale fox sits upright while a bright green ribbon coils around its body. In his account of the commission, Pieksa says the brief was to bring creativity and nature together. He chose the fox as a symbol of curiosity, intelligence and adaptability.

It was painted for Krakusa 11 and completed during OMGKRK’s Hangout No. 42: Summer Jam Warmup, held there on 29 July 2026. The creative and office complex is housed in the former pre-war Optima chocolate factory.
