🕶️ Pink Bands Cut Across a Grayscale Portrait — By Will Barker in Fraser, Colorado, USA 🇺🇸

🧶 “Herencia Tejida” Honors Mitla’s Weaving Tradition — By Oscar Axo in San Pablo Villa de Mitla, Mexico 🇲🇽

Herencia Tejida portrays master artisan Don Antonino Sosa carrying a backstrap loom, also known locally as a telar de machete. Oscar Axo calls the mural a tribute to Mitla’s living memory and the generations that have preserved one of Oaxaca’s important textile traditions.

🩸 A Bloodied Banquet Confronts Police Violence — By Caiozzama in Santiago, Chile 🇨🇱

In the installation, Caiozzama depicts former Carabineros officer Claudio Crespo as a butcher behind a blood-stained table. A bowl of eyes sits on the table, with a blindfolded winged child below. The scene refers to people who suffered eye injuries during Chile’s 2019 protests.

Caiozzama installed it at the corner of Avenida Vicuña Mackenna and Carabineros de Chile, where Gustavo Gatica was struck by police pellets and blinded. The artist presented the work as a critique of injustice, and El Ciudadano documented its context.

💡 Nerd Fact: In January 2026, a Santiago court found that Crespo fired the shot that blinded Gustavo Gatica but acquitted him after concluding that he acted in self-defence. The Santiago Court of Appeals upheld the acquittal in August.

🐊 A Cowgirl Takes an Alligator for a Rodeo Ride — By Naomi Haverland in Great Falls, Montana, USA 🇺🇸

Haverland shared the finished mural from Cowboy Slick at 117 Central Avenue. It was painted for Great Walls Montana, curated by Talking Walls. KRTV reported that the wall owner gave Haverland a western theme and otherwise left the design to her.

🦌 “Aida y su Jackalope” Climbs the Tower — By Wedo Goás in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France 🇫🇷

Aida, the artist’s partner, sits beside a jackalope based on a rock-compilation cover that Wedo’s father altered when Wedo was five. He explains the connection in his post about Aida y su Jackalope.

💡 Nerd Fact: Douglas, Wyoming’s official account dates the modern American jackalope to 1934, when taxidermists Ralph and Doug Herrick mounted deer antlers on a rabbit. The Shope papillomavirus can cause keratinized tumors in rabbits, which may have helped feed the legend.

Wedo painted the mural 45 metres above ground at 53 Rue Ferdinand Buisson during the 2026 street-art edition in Boulogne-sur-Mer.

🐆 “Caperucita y la Pantera” Reworks a Local Legend — By Konestilo in Ácula, Spain 🇪🇸

A violet panther rises behind a woman lit in orange and magenta, framed by leaves and a real window. The official competition post explains that the title combines Little Red Riding Hood with a local story that a panther once roamed these lands.

💡 Nerd Fact: The legend began with a reported sighting near Ventas de Huelma in September 2020. After almost a week of searching, photographs showed that the animal was a large black cat. Even so, the municipality adopted the panther as an emblem.

Painted during the 2026 Liga Nacional de Graffiti stop in Ventas de Huelma–Ácula, the mural finished second in the competition.
