The mural was painted in 2026 at Fehrfeld 39 for MURAL CITY – Beauty of Science, a URVANGARDE project delivered by Lucky Walls. The U Bremen Research Alliance was the science partner for the project.

💡 Science Fact: The mural program paired public art with live science talks. During the creation of Nense Tango’s mural, Matthew White of the University of Bremen’s Cognitive Systems Lab gave a public science slam on wearable neuroscience for human-centric AI.

💡 Process Fact: Speker makes his own photographic references. He develops an idea through sketches and visual research, then photographs people he knows and other models. Those images become the basis of his mural compositions. According to the Italian Cultural Institute of Dublin, his move from graffiti lettering to figurative painting began while he was in Los Angeles.

🦩 A Pink Flamingo Leans Toward a Woman — By Weak Palencia in Uruapan, Mexico 🇲🇽

A pink flamingo leans toward a dark-haired woman as palm leaves, painted clouds and purple letterforms stretch across the façade. Weak Palencia documented the wall in Uruapan in August 2026.

💡 Flamingo Fact: Flamingo chicks drink crop milk produced by special cells in their parents’ throats. It is bright red because it carries the same natural pigments that color adult plumage. Producing it can temporarily leave the parents pale, as the Smithsonian’s National Zoo explains.

Painted in Lima in June 2026, the wall sets a vivid flower against angular abstraction. The artists say they did not try to meet in the middle: each kept their own visual language intact.

💡 Artist Fact: Dear Lozada began in urban art before moving toward abstraction. Heavy Mentall is the artist name used by Siberia-born, Buenos Aires-based muralist Lina Besedina, whose practice combines academic painting techniques with Latin American graffiti.

🌼 “Dusza natury – miłość” Frames a Child’s Face With Local Plants — By Gleo in Bielsko-Biała, Poland 🇵🇱

Galeria Bielska BWA gives the 15-by-15-meter mural’s official title as Dusza natury – miłość (“Soul of Nature – Love”). At its center is the Dziecko-Kwiat (“Flower-Child”), a child’s face surrounded by plants inspired by local nature. The painted Art Nouveau frame refers to the city’s historic architecture.

Completed in 2026 at Plac Opatrzności Bożej 20, it was created through the Akademia Street Artu program as part of Bielsko-Biała – Polish Capital of Culture 2026, curated by Justyna Weronika Łabądź.

💡 Artist Fact: Gleo photographs and studies her favorite flowers in every country she visits. For a 700-square-meter mural in The Hague’s Moerwijk district, created for Mauritshuis Murals, she combined them into a bouquet. Like its 1618 source painting by Ambrosius Bosschaert, it includes species that do not all bloom at the same time.

💡 History Fact: Meeting of Styles began in Wiesbaden in 1997 as the International Wall Street Meeting, organized in response to plans to demolish the Schlachthof graffiti site. Its international network was founded in 2002.

🐬 Pale Dolphins Circle a Crouching Figure — By Milouz TSF in Paimpol, France 🇫🇷

🦦 An Otter and a Squirrel Sit on a Woman’s Hat While a Fox Peers From Her Coat — By Stine Hvid in Eslöv, Sweden 🇸🇪

Hvid painted the mural for Artscape Eslöv 2026. It appears on the Bastugatan-facing gable of Eslöv City Museum; the festival listing gives the mural’s location as Bastugatan 12 and lists it among the eight murals created for the 21–23 August festival.

💡 Local History Fact: Eslöv City Museum occupies a merchant’s house built in 1892. A former courtyard building on the site contained stables, craft workshops and, for five years in the early twentieth century, the presses of Skåningen Eslöfs Tidning.

🐔 “A Galinha dos Ovos d’Ouro” Peeks Through the Wall — By SMILE in Sintra, Portugal 🇵🇹

A wide-eyed hen peers through a painted opening in the wall, with a real ventilation grille worked into the image. Its oversized beak, comb and staring eyes fill the façade.

In an August 2026 post, SMILE—the artist name of Ivo Santos—calls the mural A Galinha dos Ovos d’Ouro (“The Hen That Lays Golden Eggs”). He says it represents talent hidden in neighborhoods: people with dreams, creativity and potential who have not always had the chance to show it.

💡 Nerd Fact: The mural’s title echoes “The Goose & the Golden Egg”. In the fable, the owner kills the bird to get all its gold at once and destroys the source of his daily wealth.

🎛️ A Double Portrait of PURE Under a Cosmic Sky — By Christian Sasa in Villafruela, Spain 🇪🇸

In his post about the work, Christian Sasa identifies both overlapping portraits as PURE, an electronic musician from Burgos. PURE holds a music controller beneath red and green light. Stars, a UFO and a laughing figure fill the rest of the wall. The mural was based on a photo session by Lucas Maté.

The mural was painted for Villafruela Urban Fest, held 12–14 August 2026 in Villafruela, Burgos. The festival post also credits ACD Páramo and Yuyu Company.

💡 Music Fact: The first public demonstration of MIDI took place at the 1983 Winter NAMM show, connecting a Sequential Circuits Prophet-600 to a Roland Jupiter-6. It showed that electronic instruments made by competing manufacturers could communicate through the same interface.

❤️ An Anatomical Heart Sits Behind an “Art… With Heart” Banner — By Nuno Miles

An anatomical heart sits behind a trompe-l’œil paper banner reading “ART… WITH HEART.” In an August 2026 process post, Nuno Miles shows how he built the illusion with proportion, light, shadow and texture. A person beside the finished wall shows its scale.

In an earlier post about the mural, Miles says every wall is a chance to experiment and take painting beyond the flat plane.

💡 Anatomy Fact: Leonardo da Vinci’s final major anatomical study focused on the heart. He accurately described its chambers and valves, built a glass model of the aortic valve and recognized the organ as a one-way pump. His notes remained unpublished until the late nineteenth century.

🎨 “Golan Heights Meets Berlin City” — By Spoare153, Phdart & Kick Every Shit in Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪

A grayscale portrait sits between angular red and turquoise letterforms. Fahd P-H Farhat (Phdart) says he kept his contribution in a gray palette, while Spoare153 used the wall to try a polygon-based approach to his lettering. The phrases “Golan Heights” and “Berlin City” appear in the finished piece.

The collaboration was painted in July 2026 for Urban Canvas Parkhaus Wedding at Brunnenstraße 105–109, a rotating urban-art gallery inside a parking garage in Berlin’s Wedding district.

💡 Context Fact: The United Nations Disengagement Observer Force was established on 31 May 1974 following the agreed disengagement of Israeli and Syrian forces. Its mandate is to maintain the ceasefire and supervise implementation of the disengagement agreement.
