🗽 A Woman in a Liberty Cap Rises From Torn Comic Covers — By Jo Di Bona in Paris, France 🇫🇷
A black-and-white portrait of a young woman in a Phrygian cap with a tricolor cockade sits over torn comic covers. Scraps of Miss Liberty, Black Panther, Wonder Woman and the word LIBERTÉ break through her face and dress.
Jo Di Bona calls his mix of torn posters and graffiti Pop Graffiti. The piece was made for L'Expo des 150, a free street art show in a former Zara store at 14 Avenue du Général Leclerc, which ran from October 3 to 25, 2026. Photo by amelie_amelove.
💡 Nerd Fact: The cap is older than France. In ancient Rome, freed slaves wore a similar hat, the pileus, to show their liberty, and Marianne is still often shown in a Phrygian cap.

🌾 “Harvest Day” Puts a Braided Girl in a Cut Wheat Field — By Colorees Art in Tallinn, Estonia 🇪🇪

🦊 A Fox Spirit Lifts a White Kitsune Mask — By Loch Stencils in Paris, France 🇫🇷
On a dark pillar, a finely cut stencil shows a young woman with fox ears and a russet tail in a teal robe embroidered in gold and red. She holds a white kitsune mask beside her face against a red disc.
Loch Stencils sprayed it at Le Lavo//Matik, the shop and gallery in the 13th arrondissement whose neighboring walls are open to street artists. Photo by couleursurlaville.
💡 Nerd Fact: In Japanese folklore, kitsune were holy messengers sent by the deity Inari, and the heavenly foxes were said to often appear as humanlike female figures.

A narrow gable shows a young woman with long wavy hair and a red bandana over her nose and mouth, raising a clenched fist against red and black. Below her, big letters read INSTRUIRE POUR REVOLTER, S'UNIR POUR RÉSISTER.
RNST, a stencil artist and screen printer from Dijon, painted it with the CNT 30 union on the building it has occupied since 2007 at 6 Rue d'Arnal. The red and black behind her is the flag of anarcho-syndicalism, and the top line quotes Fernand Pelloutier, secretary of France's federation of Bourses du Travail. The wall was unveiled in October 2026.

🛞 “Downhill on Wooden Wheels” Sends Two Kids Down Old Brick Steps — By Cuboliquido in Suvereto, Italy 🇮🇹
An anamorphic painting covers a steep flight of brick steps between stone houses. A laughing girl in dungarees rides a wooden go-kart straight at the viewer, a boy in a red-and-blue beanie follows, and a small blue robot waits under the arch.
Cuboliquido, a 3D street painter born in Milan, made it for ArtinBorgo, the festival run by Suvereto's shopkeepers' association, which ran until October 11, 2026.
💡 Nerd Fact: The trick is centuries old. In Holbein's The Ambassadors from 1533, a stretched skull can only be seen properly from the bottom right corner of the painting.

🖌️ “Pearl Spray Pattern” Scribbles Over Vermeer's Girl — By Pejac in Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱
On a white wall, a black hooded silhouette raises a spray can and whips a long black line around the head of Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring. The scribble crosses her blue turban and runs on over a white door.
The Spanish artist Pejac has played the vandal before, with Vandal-ism, a 2014 tribute to Édouard Manet in Paris.
💡 Nerd Fact: The girl was never a real sitter. The Mauritshuis calls the painting a tronie, a painting of an imaginary figure, and says her pearl is too large to be real.
