🧢 Tom Hardy Tugs His Beanie Beside Purple Letters — Dima Ewar + The8gen, Krasnodar, Russia 🇷🇺

A black-and-white Tom Hardy pulls at a red patterned beanie, a pink “YO!” popping beside his cheek. Purple, lilac and white letters fill the left half of the orange wall, above a paint-spattered tarp on the ground.

The wall splits cleanly between a photo-based portrait and a full letter piece, the classic pairing of a character painter and a writer. The monochrome face keeps the colored letters from swallowing it.

🦉 A Feathered Headdress and an Owl Mask on Turquoise — Nico GDT + Nath Herrera, Santo Antônio de Jesus, Brazil 🇧🇷

The wall was painted for GrafitaSAJ, a project whose September 5–6 weekend brought more than 40 graffiti artists to Santo Antônio de Jesus in Bahia. You can find the wall on Google Maps.

Robbie Williams presses a finger to the skin under one eye, his face in sharp grays. A red star and angular red-and-white shapes sit inside a large red circle behind him; a figure at the foot of the wall shows the scale.

Matt Griffin is an Auckland-based artist working in hyperrealism, and it shows in the creases around the eye and the texture of the stubble, held at a size far bigger than any canvas.

🕊️ Swallows and Musical Notes for Ninon Vallin — Fio Silva, Champier, France 🇫🇷

Two black-and-white swallows with long forked tails swoop across a yellow gable between pink roses, green scrollwork, sparkles and faint musical notes. The building’s two windows sit inside the design.

The Association Ninon Vallin presents the mural as Fio Silva’s homage to the soprano, delivered for the 140th anniversary of her birth and co-produced with Street Art Fest Grenoble Alpes. Vallin was born in 1886 in Montalieu-Vercieu, also in Isère; the notes on the wall are for her.

The artists describe “Play Attention” as adult responsibility meeting the freedom of play. It was painted at Rua Caravelas 7 for the eighth Festival Infinito in Bairro da Torre, where eight artists worked in pairs on four walls from September 7 to 14, organized by the youth association Somos Torre.

🐕 A Doberman in a Flowering Muzzle — Don John, Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰

A Doberman fills a tall gable, its muzzle a cage of twigs threaded with small white and pink flowers. The dog stands chest-deep in painted ripples, and its shadow climbs the pale wall behind it.

The mural is at Ørnevej 2. Don John is a Copenhagen artist with walls in Aalborg, Køge, Berlin and Tokyo; here the narrow end wall gives the dog room to rise above the neighboring roofs.

🪶 White Egrets Cross a Black Wall — Moxaico, Huélaga, Spain 🇪🇸

Three white egrets with yellow feet cross a black facade, wings spread and necks curved, while a darker heron’s head shows behind them. A broken gold ring frames the group; the lowest bird stretches along the base of the wall.

Painted at Calle Molino 3 for Muro Crítico 2026; the provincial contract dates the Huélaga wall to September 14–18. The Diputación de Cáceres program is in its 11th edition and had already left 176 murals in 88 villages before this year.

🏮 A Miner and His Lantern Under “Glück auf!” — Repo Art, Hettstedt, Germany 🇩🇪

A gnome-like miner with a long nose and pointed hood carries a glowing lantern through dark woods. A small goggled creature in a miner’s helmet rides on his back, and a wooden “Glück auf!” sign hangs at top left.

Painted for Landgang Graffiti Jam in Hettstedt, the “Kupferstadt,” or copper town, of the Mansfeld mining region. “Glück auf!” is the traditional greeting of German miners.

💡 Nerd Fact: Hettstedt ran the first German steam engine built on James Watt’s principle. Prussia sent engineer Carl Friedrich Bückling to England to study Watt’s machines, and his engine started pumping at the König-Friedrich-Schacht mine on August 23, 1785.

🦜 “Nos racines, nos ailes” — Samuel IDMTAL + Orlando Kintero, Evere, Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪

“Nos racines, nos ailes” (“Our roots, our wings”) was painted for the third Racines Festival, which brought about 40 graffiti artists to Evere from September 4 to 12, with Big Up and the cultural center L’Entrela’.

💡 Nerd Fact: Green parakeets are a familiar sight in Brussels. The city’s wild flocks are usually traced to birds released in the 1970s from Meli Park, a small zoo and theme park in the city.

🦉 An Owl With a Sword Above a Split Face — Jose Gramme + Yeko Yekill + Jackie Herer + Mediah, Valencia, Spain 🇪🇸

JonJon Green is the artist name of Yohta Matsuoka, whose portfolio includes a numbered “Stilllife” series. The wall was painted for the first Maebashi Biennale, which runs through central Maebashi from September 19 to December 20, 2026.

🎻 A Gusle Player Wrapped in Thread — Zed1, Šavnik, Montenegro 🇲🇪

A pink-faced figure bows a gusle topped with a carved animal head. Red, white and yellow cords spool around the body and sweep across the green facade, framing the windows of the house.

Zed1 painted it for the first Mural Lab Šavnik, organized by NVU Art 365, which added six murals inspired by Montenegrin heritage and nature. The festival report describes his figure holding a gusle, surrounded by threads and forms that recall weaving.

💡 Nerd Fact: Singing to the gusle is on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list. Inscribed in 2018, it is described as an ancient art of performing mainly heroic epics, kept for centuries as a form of historical memory.

🩷 A Pink Creature With a Spray Can — Kupsok One, Katowice, Poland 🇵🇱
