🐴 “Dos mulas y el eclipse” Sends Two Riders Past a Black Sun — By Reka in La Bañeza, Spain 🇪🇸

🏗️ An Excavator Claw Digs Into a City of Blocks — By M-City in Katowice, Poland 🇵🇱
The whole end wall of a tall apartment block carries a dense black-and-white drawing of isometric housing, rooftops and stacked cylinders. A giant orange excavator arm plunges its bucket into the middle, and white crackling lines run across the top.
Painted by Mariusz Waras at Miła 3 as the first mural of the Silesian Film Trail, a nod to Kazimierz Kutz’s 1979 film Paciorki jednego różańca.
💡 Nerd Fact: Giszowiec, the Katowice district where this wall stands, began in 1907 as a company town for a coal mine, planned on the garden city model by the architects Emil and Georg Zillmann, as Wikipedia outlines.

💀 A Skeleton Pulls a Thread From a Man’s Mouth — By CSOA Gabrio + Clusterojo + UCOH + Giga RLT in Turin, Italy 🇮🇹
Red and silver graffiti letters fill the top of a corrugated wall. Below them a grey, wrinkled bald man has a thread pulled tight from his mouth by the bony hand of a grinning skeleton in a dark jacket, with red flames and a watchtower behind.
The lettering reads “Mai più complici” (never again complicit) and “Mai più CPR”, a slogan from Turin’s protests against the CPR, Italy’s repatriation detention centers.

💡 Nerd Fact: The word shuriken, the Japanese name for these throwing stars, translates roughly as “hand-hidden blade,” and samurai used them as backup weapons rather than main ones, per Wikipedia.

⛪ “Anunciação” Layers a Colonial Town Over Its First Peoples — By Bernardo Dartagnan + Henrique Doss in Florianópolis, Brazil 🇧🇷

One star and it’s shadow look at it again
You’re right, thanks—it’s a single painted throwing star with its flat black shadow on the wall behind it, not two stars.
