In Roos Vink’s account of the mural, the figures honor Foxhol’s Moluccan community, while the plant refers both to the local Avebe factory and to the idea of being rooted in the village.

Mlangeni was one of eight Rivonia trialists sentenced to life in 1964, and he spent 27 years on Robben Island.

Claus painted the work during the third Spray-WATT Graffiti Festival, held July 31–August 2, 2026, at the Peterstraße parking garage, according to the organizer’s program.

The project was co-designed with young women in YMCA North Down’s Flip the Script group to support the campaign to end violence against women and girls. FRIZ said photographs from one of their safety walks through Bangor inspired the raised-arm pose.

Created with support from Ards and North Down Borough Council’s Community Safety Team on the wall of Inflow Pilates at 1–3 Hamilton Road.

Follet thanked Gontran and Choupette as her muses after painting the work for the fourth Les Chats de Gouttières festival. Municipal documentation says she painted it by brush on a garage facade near Château Bottes.
