🪐 “Saving the Planet” — Jerome Davenport in Fremantle, Australia 🇦🇺

Painted in January 2026 at The Piazza in Fremantle, “Saving the Planet” shows a young child in an astronaut suit carrying a glass terrarium of living plants while a forest burns behind her. It asks viewers what part they can play in protecting the environment for future generations.

🐕 A Quiet Moment With a Dog — Moi Martos in La Vellés, Spain 🇪🇸

A seated man and a large dog share the wall in warm pink, burgundy and yellow. Martos’s finished-wall photographs show how the two figures stretch across the long facade at Camino de Carbajosa 19.

Created for the municipality’s first La Vellés mural competition, which invited contemporary responses to the culture, landscape and rural life of La Armuña.

🍇 “Raccolto” — Andrea Emeid Ranieri in Furore, Italy 🇮🇹

“Raccolto” (“Harvest”) shows many hands around a large cluster of green grapes. Strong light picks out the hands and grapes against the dark wall.

Part of Furore Street Art 2026, with Bufera Studio and the Comune di Furore.

💡 What We Could Verify: Furore’s mural tradition dates to 1982, when Italian and international artists began turning the town into what became one of Italy’s recognized “painted villages.”

✋ A Portrait Surrounded by Hands — BeRiE Balboa in Dresden, Germany 🇩🇪

Painted hands and angular red, black and cream forms surround a pale portrait. BeRiE describes it as part of a larger room-sized work about who is watching whom.

Created for House of Colors, a temporary urban-art project inside two vacant apartment blocks at Nicolaistraße 18–20 ahead of their planned demolition.

🔵 A North American Porcupine Takes Over the Cabin — Nick Sweetman in Lac-Édouard, Canada 🇨🇦

Sweetman identifies the animal as a North American porcupine, Canada’s only porcupine species. Its quills fan across the weathered boards while the eyes, snout and orange incisors align with the cabin doors.

Created during Retraite d’épinette 2026 for Canettes d’épinette at Le SAN – Station boréale. Le SAN says the former sanatorium adds new large-scale murals through the festival each year.

🌊 “Yaya — La mer. la mère” — Hanna Lucatelli Santos in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France 🇫🇷

The woman sits with a fishing net spread across her lap, folding paper fish. Lucatelli told the festival that the scene connects Boulogne’s fishing identity with manual work and passing knowledge on. She also wanted to bring a free, unsexualized female presence into public space.

Lucatelli completed the mural near Lycée Mariette on Rue Beaurepaire for Festival Street Art Boulogne-sur-Mer.

🌊 “Watching the sea” — Mariana Duarte Santos in Bueu, Spain 🇪🇸

For “Watching the sea”, Duarte Santos enlarged a 1936 photograph from José Suárez’s Mariñeiros series across the side wall of the Centro Social do Mar. The Concello’s mural catalogue says Suárez made the source image in Bueu itself.

Commissioned by Concello de Bueu as part of the town’s 2026 José Suárez program.

💡 What We Could Verify: Suárez was also filming a documentary titled Mariñeiros when the 1936 military uprising forced him into exile. He completed the film in Argentina with additional scenes shot near Mar del Plata, but no surviving copy is known.

🧱 “The Foundations” — Dan Ferrer in Waterford, Ireland 🇮🇪

At Our Little Treasures childcare centre, a child stacks bright blocks marked RESPECT, LOVE and EDUCATION. Ferrer calls the finished mural “The Foundations”.

Created for Waterford Walls with Instituto Cervantes Dublin, which brought Ferrer to the 2026 festival as its guest artist. Managed by The Walls Project.

🎨 Two Styles on One Wall — Marcus GOMAD Debie and Ultrareser in Eindhoven, Netherlands 🇳🇱

GOMAD’s turquoise-and-pink portrait sits beside a “CHAS” piece by Ultrareser. Ultrareser describes it as a name exchange: he painted CHAS while Chas Loveletters painted RESER. The work was created for Step Out the Arena 2026. The collage supplied by the source shows the shared wall and a closer view of GOMAD’s portrait.

🌧️ “The Quays” — Dan Kitchener in Waterford, Ireland 🇮🇪

The mural shows wet pavement, traffic and red reflections in Waterford. Painted on the Tower Hotel, “The Quays” is based on photographs Kitchener took on the evening he arrived in the city in 2024. He also says it contains a couple of hidden Easter eggs.

🔭 A Girl Looks Across the Harbor — Seth Globepainter in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands 🇫🇴

On a harbor wall at Molin in Tórshavn, the lighthouse from historic Skansin rises above a girl looking across the water. We Need Art notes that the figures in her sweater form the traditional Faroese chain dance. It was one of six murals Seth created for the project’s first year in the Faroe Islands.

💡 What We Could Verify: The Faroese chain dance descends from Central Europe’s medieval ring-dance tradition. Its orally transmitted ballads helped preserve and develop the Faroese language when written Faroese sources were scarce.

🏀 A Horse and Footballer on a Painted Court — Shon Price and Joram Roukes in Enschede, Netherlands 🇳🇱

At CBS De Koning, a rearing horse based on Twente’s regional emblem stands above the word DREAMS. It carries an FC Twente player holding Enschede’s flag. Price says the design grew from a workshop with pupils and neighborhood youth. Local reporting confirms that children also helped paint the combined football and 3×3 basketball court.

🦉 A Human Profile, Constellations and Local Wildlife — Alegría del Prado in Lodoso, Spain 🇪🇸

Painted at Calle Real 75, the mural commemorates the total solar eclipse of 12 August 2026. Alegría del Prado says the mural connects the cosmos and life. The eclipse forms an axis between its solar and lunar sides, with constellations and local wildlife spread across the wall.
