Untitled anamorphic mural — Peeta, Porrentruy

Peeta (Manuel Di Rita) · La Colombière 7 · Porrentruy, Switzerland
Photo from Street Art Utopia’s archive; the same photograph is the first image on Peeta’s own project page, so it is the artist’s own published photograph. Neither page names the photographer or gives a capture date. Artwork: Peeta. Full photograph shown; resized for display.
Bands, boxes and rounded frames in beige and grey seem to burst out of a plain apartment gable, while every real window stays exactly where it was. Peeta painted this anamorphic illusion for the 2026 POPA Festival in Porrentruy as part of a festival route that, in RFJ’s words, turns the town into an open-air museum of optical art. 5 things to know
- Made for POPA’s 2026 editionThe artist’s own page dates the mural to the 2026 POPA Festival, an initiative of the POPA Museum of Optical Art in Porrentruy. RFJ and Collater.al tie the same wall to the festival. Peeta Studio · RFJ · Collater.al Checked
- The building’s own colours do the workPeeta writes that matching the facade’s original colour palette was essential for the illusion of depth, letting the painted volumes seem to change the structure itself. Peeta Studio Reported
- The windows stay putCollater.al’s Anna Frattini notes that the facade and the windows are still in place, while something in the middle seems to have given way. Collater.al Reported
- A festival born from a meetingRFJ reports that the Porrentruy POPA Festival grew out of a 2024 meeting between Pierre Kohler and the Paris street artist Astro, held its first edition in 2025 and added works by 1010 and Peeta, plus a floor piece by Astro, this year. RFJ Reported
- “A temporary interruption of normality”RFJ and Collater.al both use this phrase for Peeta’s approach. Collater.al traces it to graffiti lettering he began exploring in 1993. The wall coincided with a temporary show of his canvases, sculptures and prints at the POPA museum. RFJ · Collater.al · Peeta Studio Checked
