Petals of Time mural by Studio Giftig, 119 Montcalm Street, Ticonderoga, New York, USA

A huge photorealistic portrait of a white-haired, deeply wrinkled elderly woman in a grey turtleneck, gazing upward with one hand raised, painted on the tall rear brick wall of a building. Large white chrysanthemum blooms, green leaves and a drifting petal surround her against a soft brown and grey sky; real windows sit inside the painting, and the wooden balconies of the neighbouring brick building run down the left side.

The woman looking up through white chrysanthemums on the back of 119 Montcalm Street is Belva Blood, a lifelong Ticonderoga resident who was 103 when the Dutch duo Studio Giftig painted her. “Petals of Time” was one of three new walls dedicated on 6 June 2026 at the second Walls Between Waters mural festival, and the festival-day photos are the newest dated record we found.
