La Bella Lola is a life-size statue by Carmen Fraile of a woman seated on the rocks of Torrevieja's seafront, staring out to sea. The city calls its sculptures a tribute to the women who watched their husbands, fathers and sons leave to work at sea, and its tourism office says she is one of the most photographed spots in town. In 2009 Torrevieja gave a replica, also by Fraile, to its twin city Oviedo. Source Source Source Source Reported
