The Hotel Belvédère stands in a hairpin bend of the Furka Pass road in Valais, so precisely, the NZZ wrote, that it seems as if the road had been laid around it. The Seiler hotel family built it in 1882 for its view of the Rhône Glacier, which has since retreated so far that, according to Swissinfo, it can no longer be seen from the hotel. The hotel has been closed since 2015. Source Source Source Source Checked
