Halloween Dragon installation by Tom Saltsman, Pleasant Street, Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

A huge black-and-gold dragon draped over a grey clapboard house in Marblehead: its horned head with a glowing red eye and rows of white teeth rests on the roof above a blue front door, and a dark wing hangs down past the corner of the house in the foreground. Yellow ginkgo leaves and pots of yellow mums frame the scene.

For Halloween 2018, a dragon seemed to have landed on a house on Pleasant Street in Marblehead. Its head rested on the roof above the front door, its claws held on to the garage roof, and one wing hung down past the corner of the house. Architect Tom Saltsman built it. It blew smoke and its red eyes lit up, and Boston TV reported on it on 30 October 2018. It was taken down after that Halloween: a year later a ghost shipwreck covered the garage instead.
