The Eschif de Creyssac is a medieval timber-framed watch lodge projecting over a remnant of Périgueux’s old ramparts. Its familiar “Old Mill” nickname is misleading: the local tourism office says it never served as a mill. Sources disagree on its date, with 1347 in Détours en France and the 15th century in the national heritage register. Source Source Reported
