Couple is a painted steel and bronze sculpture by Sean Henry of a man and a woman standing on a platform on the breakwater in Newbiggin Bay, about 300 metres off the Northumberland coast. It was installed in August 2007, according to Co-Curate and Chronicle Live, as part of a £10m seafront project, and Wikipedia calls it the UK's first permanent offshore sculpture. A smaller 'Land Couple' was installed on land that November, looking out at the pair at sea. Source Source Source Source Reported
